Essentially I made sure to be the change I felt was necessary. I wanted to encourage constant education and broadening one’s skill set as a Professional.
It’s daily that I see or am asked questions by people interested in the adult industry online by having no idea where to start, what to do, how to do it, etc. The accessibility and ability to find these answers are, clearly, more difficult than they should be or I wouldn’t see this so often. Having interest and wanting to get started successfully absolutely takes being proactive and willing to invest the time, effort, and energy. However, it’s possible to at least make this process easier as well as presented in such a way that aims to provide the highest potential of personal success.
So, who am I? What are my goals here?
My name is Lola Bohemia. I am both a Professional and Lifestyle Dominant both online and in real time. My focus has mostly be online BDSM and Domination utilizing my understanding of web development to offer unique and innovative ways of exploring Kink in a safe and authentic manner. Making sure I was at my best potential I immersed myself early on within the kink scene starting in 2007 and with more direction and success in 2010. During that year I was offered a spot to work alongside some very talented and reputable women in the industry at a Dungeon in Atlanta, GA known as 1763. I was blessed to learn from and work alongside some very experienced professionals including Goddess Phoenix , lil miss natalie , & Lady Feline . I continued with my online ventures utilizing this opportunity to connect the two more effectively.
Attending conventions, events, and whatever class I could get to I wanted to really hone my craft. I attended Frolicon in Atlanta for several years incorporating my art (body painting specifically) as an approach to sensation play. Between 2012-2013 I traveled through Florida and was a guest Domme at other Dungeons such as Eyez Wide Shut.
Much later (circa 2018) I visited the Woodshed in Orlando as an informal group event for those with only online interactions to have a proper Dungeon experience. It is an organization I continue to highly recommend and the Dungeon I choose to visit for events anytime I’m able to travel there.
Moving away from the SE US I became more involved in online BDSM and creatively providing sessions for a variety of people interested in Fetishism and Female Dominance. With my online activity I started to network with others building rapport and wanting to support authenticity and awareness.
Essentially I made sure to be the change I felt was necessary. I wanted to encourage constant education and broadening one’s skill set as a Professional. What made a lot of this hard is that there really has never been a universal set of expectations and credentials for anyone to enter this industry and benefit. For Pro-Dommes doing real time sessions the requirements and experience are definitely something acknowledged as important but there’s definitely not a “Kink degree”.
So if this is yet to be a thing what can we still do to keep the authenticity and integrity of this craft? I figured as I was mentored and given the opportunity that I should try to provide that to others in whatever manner I could. Even if it just means providing articles, blogs, reviews, and even a guide on understanding how to even start within the industry.
This website is for everyone interested in learning about BDSM practices online. Even curious kinksters who seek out kink adult services can benefit from the information here. Slowly I am working towards making this an archive of different topics, reviews of platforms that offer these services, and eventually webinars open to the public.
And…what about this web development and marketing bit?
My “vanilla” background is in front end web development, UI/UX, and graphic design. Despite being limited to wordpress at this time I tend to work completely from scratch. This includes the full site design, layout, functionality, branding, and from there how to successfully market utilizing the available platforms that would work the best for you. It’s so important to be able to have a solid foundation to avoud any risk flailing and struggling and unable to become successful.
Remember, this site is going to evolve. It’s a labor of love and ultimately what I want to be doing as a part of this community. The other pages will explain more in depth about what options are available here but I will try to be as accommodating as possible.
